ABOUT ME

Po Shun Lau is a  Hong Kong pianist.

​

Po Shun's first professional life was in the chemical field and finally realized her true love has been in music all along. From that point onwards, she plotted her musical path. In 2003, she earned the Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) in Piano Performing. In 2004 she earned the Ordinary and then High Certification in the Hong Kong International Institute of Music. Then she completed the Bachelor of Arts with Honours in music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. Po Shun received a scholarship from the TCM Trust to undertake a  Postgraduate Diploma course, under Douglas Finch, at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, which she completed in 2012. The next year, Po Shun continued her development as a concert pianist, obtaining her Postgraduate Artistic Diploma in 2013. Po Shun successfully performed simultaneously with six other pianists as part of the Piano Circus Project.  She also had a performance at the National Physical Laboratory Musical Society in Teddington in 2013.

Po Shun has learnt to surmount obstacles, face challenges just so she can return to her true love and lead a rich life through the study and teaching of music.

Po Shun has all the necessary qualities for her to be an excellent music teacher. She has the necessary drive, passion and perseverance and a love of teaching.
